Inspired Collections Resort Part 2

A few of the Resort 2011 collections have taken me back to other times and places. I especially saw the influence of Yves Saint Laurent, whether safari, 70's World War II retro, Russian peasant or Le Smoking, all were in the mix.

I also see moody influences from photographers Sarah Moon and Deborah Turbeville, especially the brilliant Bath photo series for Vogue in 1975.

I actually once did a photo shoot in Debra Turbeville's apartment in the evocative Beaux-arts building in upper West side NY which looks exactly like one would imagine from her photographs.
